Want to take creative and more interesting photos?  Don’t have your own camera?

Snap Happier! is the group for you. Learn how to use a digital camera in an accessible way. We will show you that it’s about ways of looking and not about the camera!

So if you are interested in experimenting, having fun then ask if you can join.  We will learn the basics of photography but we are all about encouraging people to get out and start taking photographs.

It’s not about the camera! It’s about what you see!  How to use software like Canva and Photoshop is also possible for those who would like to learn more digital skills.

If you are interested in creative photography this is the group for you!

You don’t need your own camera as we have ones you can use during the two hour workshop. It is fine if you want to use your mobile phone and learn ways of taking better photos.

You will learn about using light as the word photography means light drawing.

You will get to see the work of other famous photographers and also when people don’t mind, the work of others in the group. The group is encouraged to share what they have learnt, good and less successful.

Together we look at what happened and why and what you can do to make your photo work better next time.

Each week you are set a challenge so you can get out and explore. When the weather is nice we will head out to take photos. As we are based in the heart of Barrow we are surrounded by great buildings and views.

As this group isn’t funded, so we do ask for a £3 donation to cover materials.
