Men's Make & Mend

Thursdays 1.30pm to 4pm

If you want to meet like minded men and get involved in practical activities, create items to sell and have a chat, share skills and learn new skills – this is the group for you.

The group is led by Gary a great volunteer who helps the group work together and decide on what they want to do.  This is a two or two and a half hour workshop (depending on the project the group are working on).

It is open to all men from age 21+
The group started after a couple of men met up and explained they wanted to do practical projects to meet others and not be lonely, isolated and lift their mood.

So far the group have made superb shelving, copper work, resin and wood art, created benches for other community projects, built planters and much more.

The work they produce helps others in the community or is sold to make money that goes back into the group and buy equipment they need.

Trips, working with others, getting guests in to help learn more are all options. This group is about socialising, making new friends and creating things!
